Needles Hwy was so cool to drive and the vistas were unending. The temperature remained in the low 50's all day ... it has been great. The tunnels were rather harrowing ... talk about narrow ... trust me ... they meant it! I'm really glad we didn't bring the 'topper' for the car ... I'm don't think we would have made it through some of these ...

Yay pictures of Aunt Carolyn and Beth! YIPPEE!!!!! Just gorgeous pictures!! Makes me want to go live out there in the peace and tranquility with no neighbors! :o)
Hey Beth and Carolyn,
We're sitting here enjoying your beautiful pictures and travel log...now if you just had that topper it really would have been so much more exciting!!!
Where is Needles Highway? I'm losing track of where some of these incredibly beautiful place are. We especially liked the lake and boulder pictures and the narrow tunnel shot through the front window of your suv!
I'm sure all of your postings are making Fred even more excited about joining you soon!
Take care and we'll keep in touch!!

Glad to see you have finally broke into pictures! You all look like you are having a blast! I am glad you didn't take the topper, I suspect it would have been the latest attraction on the side of the needles highway! At least it sort of looks like a rock! Rock on! Me
Needles is close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse in Black Hills ... in South Dakota ... the hwy is part of the Peter Norbeck scenic hwy.
