Grinnell Glacier Fossils ~ National Geographic

These very fossils were at the top of Grinnell Glacier and featured in this month National Geographic. They are believed to be the very thing that started to produce oxygen on Earth. Columns of algae formed and then surrounded by water and then fossilized. For the most scientific information ... get out your National Geographic. Anyone on 52nd Av W, it is in my mail stack at home.
