River Rafting ~ Snake River ~ Grand Tetons ~ 9/14

Once again we got an early start. We were picked up at the Jackson Lodge lobby at 7AM. The trip was 10.5 miles down the Snake River. What tremendous views and sounds. The elk were bugling and the eagles were flying. We saw mature and immature eagles. We also saw a herd of 20 elk running and then followed the bull. It was way cool. I also saw a wolf through the binocs. If you ever do this trip, everyone will tell you to go early ... groups that go later to NOT get the same treats.

The pictures of the mountains are smokey due to fires. The jet stream is supposed to change tomorrow and we should get a clear view of the Tetons. Pictures might also be a wee bit out-of-focus ... the raft was moving!
